Must Movie: Romeo + Juliet

I love this film! Yes, the 1996 version with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The imagery and play on colors is really exquisite, especially that scene when Romeo is sitting on the beach writing, the lighting was…..GAHHH! Need I remind you of how utterly perfect the soundtrack is. I still get the goosebumps just thinking about Talkshow Host by Radiohead. Now as for the story itself, young teenage love is obviously dangerous. Love makes you do crazy things, but poison and guns…….hmmmmm.

Thursday Tune: Running With Nature Playlist

Yes, I am still alive. I have just been a little lost in the nature that is surrounding me at my friends house. Recently I have been running up and down these steep flight of stairs to stay in shape. The best part about doing this painful exercise routine is at the bottom is Lake Eerie, and the breeze and view is phenomenal. It is exactly what I have been needing these days, to just get lost in something bigger than my problems.

Style Crush: Now Lets talk about Bob Dylan

Do I even need an explanation about this man….yah I did not think so. I grew up listening to his music, and about 5 years ago I fell enamored for his very minimal and serious style. Plus he has got banging hair.

Thursday Tune: In the mood for Mellow

I have been really low key lately. I am not too sure if its the heat or my condition, or that I am just really tranquil with everything in my life right now. I lost all my music so I am attached to Pandora right now, and decided to make a playlist of all my favorites that I have been discovering or remembering. Enjoy!

My Work Will Be Done- Blue Sky Black Death

Thursday Tune: Night Time

Mmmmm I really love The XX especially this specific song. The lyrics in this song are rally good. It took me a while to get the whole picture of the lyrics, but once I got it down, I was like “Oh yah I know that feeling.”

Night Time- The XX

Thursday Tune: Lost Ones

Oooo yes none other than the beautiful Lauryn Hill.

Lost Ones- Lauryn Hill

Queen of Wonderland

I have fallen victim to an annoying cold, so I am basically being lazy and listening to music. Ran across this tune, and can’t stop listening to it. Enjoy!

Queen of Wonderland

Thursday Tune: The Smiths

To sum up this band’s music is pure perfection. I don’t go a day not listening to at least one of their songs. They are too beautiful to ignore. If only The Smiths were still performing and not on the outs.

Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want

This Charming Man

There’s a Light that Never Goes Out

Thursday Tune: Lianne La Havas

I discovered this singer while listening to the radio, and I am just enamored with her lyrics and voice. Lianne La Havas is a lot of Jazz with pop I suppose would be the right description. I have caught myself humming and singing her songs while walking my dogs ahaha.

Forget- Lianne La Havas

No Room For Doubt- Lianne La Havas ft. Willy Mason

Thursday Tune: Billie Holiday

I seriously become speechless whenever I think of Billie Holiday. Her voice and lyrics got me involved in my longest love affair of all time, Jazz. Where do you even begin with her? In short, every note, word, and melody makes me feel like I am feeling the exact same way she was when she sang her songs. I have finally learned not to tear up or cry whenever I hear her(very good thing), and sometimes if your lucky, you will hear me singing her heartbreaking songs.

Strange Fruit- Billie Holiday

Lover, Come Back To Me- Billie Holiday

The Very Thought You- Billie Holiday
